Objective:
- To address the need for ethical conduct within the force
- To educate the public about the code of ethics guiding the conducts of personnel of the police force
- To provide the public with practical solutions on how to address issues of misconduct by erring officers
Activities:

Key findings and results:
- The police is aware that there are defaulting officers among their personnel, and they are working hard to fish them out
- There are public hotline for report of cases of misconduct by police officers, but the public has not been utilizing these hotlines
- Lack of corporation from some members of the public makes it challenging for officers to satisfactorily discharge their duties
- There is the problem of perception on the side of the public towards the police
- Every claim that the ‘Oga’ in the office is aware of extortions of the public is false and a ploy by the erring officer to get the unsuspecting public to comply with such despicable demands
- The office of the PPRO and complaint unit is open to the public for complain against any erring officer
- The police if open and ready to welcome any ethics organization which wishes to train its personnel.
- The police needs the cooperation and support of the public if they must succeed in discharging their duties, and apprehending erring officers.
Challenges faced:
The Police was welcoming in their decision towards the invitation, however, the PPRO was too occupied with activities to the point that it was challenging to get him to feature on the program. With adequate communication and engagement, the PPRO was able to make adjustment to accommodate our timing and feature in the program.
Lesson learned:
The public have a role to play in the fight against erring officers by reporting such personnel using the available channels
The police need to update the public on disciplinary actions taken against erring officer. The public has to know every step of the way, this will help in correcting the perception issues affecting the police.
