Business Ethics Initiatives
This initiative promotes adherence to business ethics, ethical trade, fair trade and corporate social responsibility through the following activities:
Ethical Trade Compliance Services
Assists business leaders abide by the code of labor practice as established by the International Labor Organization (ILO), the UN Guiding Principles and Human Rights. Our ethics team meet with business leaders to review compliance and provide support including management trainings on code of labor practice and UNGPs.
Fair and Responsible Trade Awareness
Through massive awareness, buyers – especially large buyers with higher purchasing powers - learn not to exploit small and disadvantaged producers/sellers by buying their products at fair market prices; consumers learn to buy responsibly by not patronizing harmful and illegal products as well as products that their consumption cause harm to the environment and; sellers learn not to sell harmful and illegal products such as human parts, drugs, and other products that destroy the society.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Assists business leaders to adopt business practices that have minimal impact on the consumers, environment, and the workers. Our ethics team enlighten business leaders on the impact of their products in the society. They also encourage businesses to contribute to the society and work with businesses to implement projects that ameliorate any harm that their products may be causing to the society.
Consumer Right Protection
This initiative fights for consumers that are exploited by sellers and producers. Our ethics team members partner with Consumer Protection and Rights agency to ensure that sellers are not exploiting consumers by overcharging, selling of expired products or refusal to accept returns.
