Emerging African Leaders Foundation Conference 2017

In 2017, Lagos became the epicenter of transformative leadership as the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy, and Ethics (CSAAE) hosted the Emerging Nigerian Leaders Foundation Conference: The Cardinal Virtues for Emerging Leaders. This pivotal event brought together 100 passionate young Nigerians eager to shape their futures and contribute to the nation’s growth.

The conference focused on instilling the cardinal virtues — Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance — essential pillars for any aspiring leader. These virtues are not just moral principles but practical guides for navigating the complexities of leadership with integrity, courage, and balance.

Like previous foundation conference, a standout feature of this conference was the selection of 24 youths to be trained in leadership skills for 12 months. Successful trainees were inducted into Network of Effective African Leaders (NEAL) lifelong support system, designed to ensure continuous guidance and mentorship as they pursue diverse personal and professional aspirations. This network fosters accountability, resilience, and the kind of peer support that turns leadership dreams into tangible realities.

By investing in young minds and equipping them with timeless virtues and lifelong mentorship, CSAAE is not only shaping individuals but also laying the foundation for a more ethical, resilient, and prosperous Nigeria.

The 2017 conference is a testament to CSAAE’s unwavering commitment to nurturing leaders who will drive positive change — not just for themselves, but for their communities and the nation at large.
